the tenant was negligent also. real new yorkers would have done their own floors by then. I’ve scraped up linoleum tiles in a pre war before & put in stone. NYCHA says you cant renovate but really they prefer to not be bothered. Call them for leaks/plumbing issues only.

The Federal, State and City administrations abandoned NYCHA and left tenants to fend for themselves. They made it a crime to be poor and now they won’t pick up the bill and actually address the problem. Pisses me off.

Nycha ripped some of the tiles in every room of my apartment close to 3 years ago. I made an appointment to get it fixed then and they still haven't done anything. That beige tile right there is the same I have and it's discontinued so they would have to do the whole apartment, I said ok do the whole apartment but they'll still haven't done it yet and I got tired of calling them.
