@buzzzhistory: On August 6, 1945, during World War II, the United States dropped an atomic bomb called "Little Boy" on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The bomb was released from the B-29 bomber Enola Gay and exploded about 600 meters above the city. In a blinding flash, the temperature at the center rose to millions of degrees, creating a massive fireball and shockwave that instantly destroyed buildings and ignited fires across the area. Around 70,000-80,000 people died immediately, and tens of thousands more later from injuries and radiation. While Hiroshima; much of the city was flattened or burned within seconds, leaving widespread devastation and long-term suffering from radiation exposure. I remember visiting Japan back in 2016 I was barely 10, I don’t know anything about any of it but my parents took me to the museum and I saw this tiffin box which looked like it was made of clay, it had noodles in it just still like that, I don’t think I’ll ever forget that image
