First of all, super inconcise. There is no need to talk about molecules and such when it is clearly your weakest point. Why talk about the intersection of analysis between individuals and populations, but then only talk about concepts and data that are only (supposedly) representative of that population? The very little stratified analysis you use is about age and children, so I don’t know why the distinction is necessary; are you implying that age and children are the “wider lens”? If not, then it’s unnecessary. Secondly, though, any ANOVA or study of statistical significance refutes most of your claims here, which is understandable because you are working with extremely variable data with incredibly difficult metrics, such as, is it really polygamous to have sex with multiple people throughout one's lifespan but only have one long-term partner? Anthropologists don’t seem to think so because both men and women are socially monogamous. More directly, though, looking at the data, hypergamy does exist with women toward men. Still, it is not considerable enough to be the norm, nor is it the case in many developed societies. Your argument seems more grounded in identity politics and culture wars than in any distinct institutional phenomenon; most structural positivists would disagree with you.

theres an easy solution: you said in the begining that there used to be a gender gap that (in many aspects of society) favoured men But now there is a gender gap that (in many aspects of society) favours women. the takeaway is that "supporting" a gender is simply a bad way to get rid of a gender gap because it just gets you to a situation where in some aspects of society that gender is favoured (while the other one struggles because of it) and in other aspects of society that gender is still doing badly (because the other gender is still slightly favoured), and then you cant even tell which gender is being disadventeged here. so the most obvious solution is to just simply take care of all gender gaps instead of simply "supporting" one gender or the other.
