My female family physician referred me to a female gynaecologist who diagnosed me with an aggressive form of cancer. My gynaecologic oncologist, radiation oncologist, and anaesthetist were all women. I am cancer free.

I have had excellent luck with both and bad luck with both. it just really depends on your comfort level and the individual doctor and how your personalities mesh. I would never rule a doctor out based on gender.

The only time I think gender of a doctor would matter is a gynecologist. My daughter insists on having a woman and I don’t blame her

I've broken both of my feet at different times in my life.. My right foot had 4 large breaks, required a cast, and healed perfectly. My left foot had one small break that became a permanent disability because my doctor forced me to weight bare too early despite my pain and insistance I couldn't stand. Guess which doctor was a woman and which was a man? (Women will know the right answer)

i have a female GP and i try to see female and or POC doctors/dentists whenever possible. I am a middle age white man and the doctors i've had who were white men rarely listened to me, whatever they decided was law and i rarely felt like a partner in my health care. i don't feel that way with my current doctors and dentists who aren't middle aged cauccasion males. sorry to any white male docs out there who do listen and care, but i never found you!

Female physicians are the best👩🏼⚕️👩🏻⚕️👩🏽⚕️🧬🦠🩸💊💉🩻🩺. You’re correct ✅ with these 3 reasons. My dermatologist is a female 👩🏽⚕️🧖♂️and I love going to see her every 3 months.

If the statistics were switched I can imagine the outrage this would cause but since it's proving women are less likely to cause mortality instead of men there will be little to no public uptake of the facts. It's sad and frustrating. My dad is an amazing doctor... my mother was always more🤍
