Rooting for you, like you are me. Because I get it. This journey of injury and pain has taken me to places in life I never expected. Brought me into habits & situations I never belonged in. It also led me to some of my greatest opportunities and value for others. Whatever the path is, I’m walking it. I have faith that my journey has been this way for a reason. Still, there have been many unhealthy seasons of coping for me through this 10 year bout. At times it were easily to overly lean into my “entrepreneurial” focus. Burning myself out. Over caffeinated, little sleep, a short but embarrassing nicotine addiction, drinking, edibles. All things that may be more normal for some people. But I LOVE being sober lol. Never really liked substances. I can recognize the weird altered states of self that coping has brought me to. I was 18 when I first felt addiction. A 6 month learning lesson of opiates after knee surgery. That lesson taught me well for life. Now I just touch grass a lot and breathe 🧘‍♂️ But these are things I hear daily. I have conversations about this with BBB members and genuine people in DMs so much that I realized this wasn’t just my experience. The effect chronic pain & the sidelined feeling of incompleteness that it can bring…can take away everything from you. Or at least it will feel like it. This is why I am way more focused on the empathy side of healing, versus the expertise side of educating. I will make the route as simple and accessible as possible. But I know there are many people struggling on the inside and out with their injury. So I will never skip out on the real support, community and belief that true healing takes. Selfishly, I’m just trying to be what I needed earlier. And so far it has worked for people. So I am grateful. I know I will be healed. I will learn whatever lesson needs to be learned. I will train and compete again. I will stop trying to slow time down and just enjoy presence. You will too. Working until this is our reality. ❤️‍🩹 #lowbackpain #squat #mobility #core #sijoint #posture #lowbackpainrelief #hipmobilityexercise #backtraining #injuryprevention #strength #sciaticarelief #ability #lowbackmobility #backpain #Fitness #lowback #lowbackability #hipmobility
