I love how people with 5-7 year old tattoos are responding about their tattoos looking great- she means aging! Like 20 years down the road, not 5! All tattoos should still look great at 5-10 years. I think a great solution is getting your tattoos when you’re older!

Something a lot of folks don't realize is that a tattoo artist's reputation is one of if not THE most important things they have. If a tattoo looks bad, it's the artist's name on the line. If they don't want to do it, there's a STRONG chance there's a good reason why.

I got “follow the yellow brick road” 20yrs ago tattooed on my foot. The word yellow was done in yellow and everything else in black. Now it just says “follow the brick road” 😂 yellow is completely gone

Tattooing has changed and advanced so much over the decades. Go to an artist that specifically does a style you like. Not every artist can do every style, not every artist can apply color well, not every artist can work on every skin type or tone. Tattoo clients should do better research, and gain a realistic expectation for what an older tattoo looks like.
