People also act like putting your GPA on a resume is a normal thing😭 there’s a reason the saying is “C’s get degrees”

I’ll probably have a 2.8 it sucks but I transferred form a school where the teacher who taught Statics,Dynamics,Thermo,Strength and Materials graded based on percent of people getting a grade. Only 10% of class was allowed to get an A, 10% B and the rest what ever u had C or below. Class size was like 25 ppl basically impossible to not get Cs bro destroyed my gpa

eh gpa doesnt matter after a year of experience/ entry level. if your uni's name carries weight, its great on your resume but work experience is king

I made the comment. In the pre DEI days we would never even interview someone with a 2.0 gpa, shows lack of seriousness and academic rigor. But times have changed.

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to this commenter. Textbook example of someone ignorant being inflammatory for attention.

Me w my 2.1 for engineering I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get a concentration I wanted to do mechanical but now I’d be happy just graduating as an engineer next year 🥀

You just keep plugging along and your personality and degree will get the job not the gpa.

The whole education system indoctrinated people to ABCDF, normalized it, then shifted to pampering people with an A becoming Average. A C is average and should be the middle of a bell curve. But the push for everyone to achieve exceptional grades is unrealistic and driven by the out-dated concept of an intellectual identity and protential being related to grades. Written exams are a perfect measuring device, some critical thinkers read too much into them, and sometimes knowing more than the question writer changes the answer.

Any good business owner doesn’t care about your GPA at all. It’s all about ROI (Return on Investment) and will hire the person that will give them that! I own a fairly successful business and when I’m hiring, I don’t even look at whether they have a degree or not! That does nothing for me! What I do is I call previous employers and interview employers about the possible employee! And I have hired people without degrees and paid them more than a lot of people without degrees do because of the value they bring to the company. In other words, the revenue they generate for me!
