when are roles decided? before or after deck selection? I feel like I'd want a different deck as a monarch vs an assassin. but also, certain commander choices might give away or bluff at a hidden role

My lgs has been playing "kings" for years. King, bannerman (knight), userper and userper's bannerman, and then goblin and dragon. Goblins wins if theyre the first to die, unless the dragon is the one that kills them, then dragon wins. Super fun.

Usurper's life total actually becomes 10 not 1. it gives them a chance to actually still play the game.
