"Raise a Glass to Celebrate!The Strong Army Mobilization Order at the DPRK's 2022 Army-Building Banquet" On April 25,2022,Kim Jong Un,General Secretary of the Workers'Party of Korea(WPK)and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission,and his wife Ri Sol Ju attended the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Army(KPA)celebration banquet held in the courtyard of the WPK Central Committee's headquarters building.Also present were members of the WPK Central Political Bureau Standing Committee Jo Yong Won,Kim Deok Hun,Pak Jong Chon,and Lee Byong Cheol,as well as the KPA's top commanders and military organ heads Ri Yong Gil and Kwon Yong Jin. At the banquet,Pak Jong Chon,a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the WPK Central Committee,delivered a speech.He emphasized that the Korean revolutionary armed forces,which started from the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Squad on Mount Paektu,have developed over the past 90 years into an"invincible strong army"that makes strong enemies tremble.He pointed out that the core of revolutionary inheritance is the continuation of the spirit of struggle,and the Mount Paektu tradition is the source of the army's spirit and combat effectiveness.Faced with the long-term confrontation with imperialism,the primary mission of the armed forces is to support the party's governance ability with strong strength. Pak Jong Chon specially stressed that whether it was the anti-Japanese struggle in the past or the current nuclear deterrence,"ideological strong army"has always been the fundamental principle.He called on commanders at all levels to take the lead in being loyal to the party Central Committee and to train all officers and soldiers into firm revolutionaries to ensure the absolute combat effectiveness of the army.
