Kinda understand this bc either way the cashier needs to scan the things from their left side and bring it to the right side, so why does it matters if they pick it up from the basket directly or not??

I don’t agree with this as a cashier. I feel like it’s rude when people don’t at least unload their basket if they have more than like 3/4 things. I feel like it’s common courtesy to put the items one by one so they’re easier to scan for the retail worker who makes minimum wage. It’s the 1 thing YOU can do to make the job easier. (Just my opinion)

When customers do this I just leave everything in the basket and scan the items from there…like I’m confused why are we making it hard on ourselves? Cus I’m not gonna take everything out either lol
