Reading comprehension died the day they said white beard could destroy the world. First there’s a lot of meaning to the word « world » in japanese. Second, he HAS the POWER to destroy the world, therefore this statement is directly tied to his Devil Fruit the Quake fruit. Lastly, white beard was the perfect user for the fruit, as the strongest man he could grab the air and even create tsunamis but his feats stop there.
