Anesthesia provider here. If NARCAN didn’t reverse the effects then it was NOT an opioid overdose. The #1 cause of this type complication is due to fat embolism.

same thing happened to my mom in hospital. overdosed her on diladid she ended up on life support for 3 days then she was gone. she was also 47

Narcan would have worked if it all happened that fast. Surgery is risky no matter what surgery. Our bodies can react poorly to anesthesia.
