The reason why they don’t have a terminal 2 is because they demolished terminal 2 and replaced it with terminal 3. At its opening, Terminal 3 was the largest infrastructure project in Nevada. Most of terminal 3’s funding came from the late- Sen Leader Harry Reid.

There’s no terminal 2 because they tore it down (2016) to expand more into other terminals. And they never renamed 3 (built in 2012) but ya I’m not going to argue Vegas leaders messed up 😅

I remember being 6 and being intrigued by all the lights and sounds of slot machines, and a security guard had to stop me from going over to them lol

It’s been a while since I flew through there (2010, I think) and so maybe it’s been updated, but I *hated* the Southwest terminal in Vegas. Crowded, cramped, and no decent food choices.
