Volume is less, sure. But remember, the mass/weight is the same, plus the added weight of each plastic pouch. You’ll still be fined for overweight bags at the airport if you go over the weight limit.

Now: the only tip I have to this, pack it by outfit. So if you have items that you are mixing and matching together for an outfit, pack all those items into one and shrink it, especially if you have multiple stops on your trip. Because then you only have to unpack the one that you need and then use sticky notes like; this one is for Jacksonville, this one is for Daytona, this is for Disney/Orlando, this one is for Miami, this one is for Key West, etc. so you can unpack the one you need and then repack it with the dirty/clean clothes (if you have laundry in your accommodations) at the end of each stop.

I have these and use them every time I travel. I packed for a week out of the country with just a carryon and large purse. The vacuum holds a charge for a long time and it saves way more space than tight rolling your clothes which I had done for years. I agree this video looks totally AI but I can vouch for these bags.
