@thrivewithcandice: I can’t handle iron supplements so here’s what I’m having for lunch instead: base: rice boil your eggs for ~8min then straight into an ice bath add your lentils add your eggs and sardines (I use @Skin & Bone Sardines code CANDICE) I added some pink radishes for crunch (but carrots would work great too) A spoonful of sauerkraut for tons of probiotics I improvised a creamy mustard sauce: yogurt, mustard, olive oil (swap for coconut yogurt to avoid the dairy) Drizzle with lemon Tops with pumpkin seeds, olive oil, salt, pepper, fresh parsley #ironrich #ironrichfoods #iron
Iron absorption starts in the gut. Sometimes a person is eating enough iron but it’s a gut health problem. Increase fiber & pre/probiotics first can help a lot! Vit c with plant based iron increases the absorption by over 65%.

I do okay with the iron supplements but I am really gearing towards just eating my vitamins. I am in a weighloss program and I see my dietician soon to really get a tailored meal plan designed for me. so I will be on hear frequently checking you out. ty
