@rjvedqatar: Strong action is now being taken in Qatar against social media misuse and traffic violations, and the numbers are significant. The Economic and Cyber Crimes Prevention Department, under Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, has arrested 313 individuals of various nationalities. According to authorities, these arrests were made for: • Filming unauthorized videos • Circulating unverified clips • Spreading misleading information and rumours • Sharing content intended to create public concern or panic Authorities stated that these activities were in violation of official directives, and the necessary legal and administrative actions have been taken against those involved. The Ministry of Interior has also issued a clear reminder to the public: Avoid filming incidents related to the current situation, publishing such videos, or circulating rumours. Always rely on approved official sources for accurate information. In a separate action, the General Directorate of Traffic has also seized 39 vehicles that were creating loud and disturbing noise on the roads. The drivers have been referred to the relevant authorities. Under Article 58 of the Traffic Law, no vehicle may operate on the road if it emits disturbing noise. Every vehicle must have a properly functioning muffler or silencer, and noise levels are measured in decibels (dB) according to national standards.
