It was a visually beautiful film, but so far removed from the original it's the same as me making a movie based on "long walk to freedom" but instead of Mandela walking out of Pollsmoor, I have him join a band of Ninja's & he becomes Batman

were all of the criticisms she got valid? no. but a lot of the criticisms she got were centred on her failings around the racial/class aspects of wuthering heights. to dismiss this as just misogyny is yet another example of white women using feminism to deflect from criticisms that pertain to race.
