Eostre was the Anf glo Saxon fertility Goddess who was celebrated around Springtime when baby animals are born and plants bloom. She was associated with the hare -Eatser Bunny and eggs, where we get the word oestrogen. It is all about adapting previous rites and lore. No such thing as the resurrection it is just another version of rebirth after winter.

I will say, the “Eostre” (sp?) theory doesn’t hold much water anyway. Bede is the first attestation of the name in all of history as far as we’re aware
