I always dreaded the “why should we pick you” or what sets you aside from the hundreds of other candidates” questions in the beginning. One thing I learned as I moved up and eventually became Chief interviewing with city councils. Do your research on the city. History and hit key points in the interview. Usually those questions come up. It would be horrible to be asked what do you know about City ——- when you apply and not have an answer at any stage. Enjoy your content. Wish someone did this when I started out 25 years ago.
