Wanting to make sure it’s lab tested and fda approved by the US Is a joke. We have the worst standards for purity and non gmo - also pesticide usage!

The active compounds in saffron (like crocin and safranal) release much more effectively when the strands sit in warm liquid for about 10–15 minutes. That helps your body absorb them better and you get more of the benefits. Putting them under your tongue won’t hurt anything, but you won’t extract as much from the strands compared to letting them bloom in water first.

So I have the saffron supplement from nutricost, I looked and I can’t find anything on what type it is or where it’s sourced from. Is that a bad sign?? I really want the benefits bc they sound like they would help me so much so I want to find the real, good stuff!
