I didn't meet any Africans until I was almost 30. Most Black Americans are in the south. Africans generally move to NYC & other major, cities

Nope. They were not in SW, Missouri. I met 2 in college on from Zimbabwe and the other from Kenya. This was the late 90s.

I did, but only because I’m from a suburb of Chicago, and they mainly stuck to themselves…and there was NEVER any bullying of only Black immigrants…especially from us FBAs.

In oak cliff not a single immigrant was on our classes. There was one "coloured" South African kid in my Gifted and Talented school in Michigan.

No, I never met one until I went to NY when I was like 16. Very short interaction then dated one when I was like 22. He was the first I had a real conversation with.

My neighborhood was primarily black, but we did have a small hispanic and asian population that attended during elementary to middle school years and I only recall one Jamaican girl and she was welcomed with open arms and all the boys fawned over her. But in HS I went to a PWI private school and the small African population was teased but not by the black students, we protected them.

I went to school with Africans, and some of the same things people say online, a few of them would try to say in person too. We didn’t really respond negatively, and in my experience, our people generally don’t go out of their way to say bad things to them.

I'm Gen X I never went to school with any African immigrants. I went to private school HS there was a young lady from Europe. My daughter live in Bedford Hts and her Apartment Complex is full of Africans

I can honestly say I haven’t because I was the only melanin child in school.Until high school even then I don’t remember. That wasn’t my focus or mindset at that time.
