And how much did it cost to drive there? 😅 Sweden used to be cheap, but atm prices are up and even the Swedish krona is stronger that the Norwegian krone. I don’t know if you really save that much anymore. Imo the only reason to go is for the trip and the choice in some areas like vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free.

Sweden is not "a completely different country". It's a country that has almost the same culture, essentially the same language, etc. . 99.9% of the world population would not be able to tell the difference between a Dane, Norwegian or Swede.

in the early 2000s we southern swedes would take the car on the boat over to Denmark and then either shop there or drive to germany usually for cheap beer and candy and such but not regular house hold items
