@jackeatseverything: Let’s go for a steak at Flat Iron 😍🥩 Me and Jas got invited down to Flat Iron today! Here’s what we thought of it. I’ve had loads of friends visit Flat Iron in London before but I’ve never been and when it announced it was opening in Bristol I was buzzing to try it. Where is it? ➡️ 30 Clare St, Bristol BS1 1YH 📍 Here’s what we had below ⬇️ Flat iron steak £15 Wagyu bavette steak £23 Peppercorn sauce £1.50 Wild mushroom sauce £1.50 Homemade beef dripping chips £4 Crispy bone marrow garlic mash £4.50 Creamed spinach £4 Side salad £3.50 Truffled macaroni cheese £5.50 Roast aubergine, tomato, basil & mozzarella £4.50 Overall me and Jas were really impressed I must say. You get free beef dripping popcorn on arrival and you also get free icecream when you leave. (You can even save your icecream token and just pop in another time and have it) You can get steak and chips for £19 which I think it good value. The sides I think are a really good price. Their chips are good but their other sides are so much better! The bone marrow garlic mash, creamed spinach and the truffle mac and cheese were both mine and Jasmines favourites. Even the salad slapped. Jas had the flat iron steak and I went for the wagyu. Both were really nice but the flavour and tenderness of that wagyu beef was so good. A really rich buttery flavour that I loved. I’ve never had wagyu before and I didn’t know if that fatty ness of the meat was going to be to much but I loved every single mouthful! Peppercorn sauce was also really nice but I actually think the mushroom sauce came out on top. If you’re a mushroom lover then that sauce is bang on. Overall i’d easily score it a 9/10 as I think for value for money is a great option.
