i'm also listening to it right now and it's clear a lot of the words were put there using a thesaurus, but they are not always synonyms in the situations they were used. "i located myself into the bed" was one of the worst

I think frivolous is fine. i use that in my life. the "caught in a conglomerate of people" isn't necessary. infinitesimally is meh. I know the word but seems silly in that context.

YALL. no frivolous isn’t a crazy big word. but in the context of this book, it doesn’t fit. there is more to writing than just throwing in big words to throw them in. it has to make sense within the book. these don’t.

she wrote a book because she likes reading books not because shes a writer.... and it shows. I hope that she can grow and learn from the reviews, although reviews six months ago said that the book had numerous issues and none of them were fixed or changed, so idk.

using big words isn’t a problem. it’s using them in the wrong context or in a way that isn’t helping the story. if there is a more concise way of stating something it usually is the best way to say it.
