@evidenceeye: The Courtroom Moment That Silenced Everyone . . On June 26, 2023, U.S. Army Master Sergeant Ashley Henning was shot and killed by her husband, Jordan Henning, inside their Kentucky home. Surveillance cameras captured the entire incident, Jordan firing multiple shots, reloading after the gun jammed, and shooting Ashley a fifth time as she lay wounded on the kitchen floor. Jordan, also an active-duty soldier, was arrested and charged with murder. At trial in March 2025, the defense claimed he suffered "extreme emotional disturbance" after years of alleged abuse by Ashley. However, prosecutors revealed a shocking motive: Jordan was living a secret double life, and Ashley had discovered the truth. Evidence presented included Jordan's FetLife profile, testimony about his hidden alternative lifestyle, and his own admission that he knew how to fake a PTSD defense months before the killing. Despite surveillance footage showing the deliberate reload and execution-style final shot, the jury convicted him of first-degree manslaughter instead of murder. Jordan Henning was sentenced to 20 years (the maximum for manslaughter) and must serve 85% before parole eligibility. Ashley's family called the verdict a miscarriage of justice.
