When the average price for 1 bedroom in SK is $1,350 and back in 2018, the price for 2 bedroom was $925. Yeah there’s something wrong!

Girl, I too live in Manitoba. But it could be worse! We are by far one of the cheapest provinces to live in. I’m not saying it’s cheap, but I’m thankful I’m not anywhere else😅

It’s the same in Alberta. Everything keeps going up and incomes can’t keep pace. I’m a single income home and can’t believe the price of groceries. I just bought two green peppers for $7.00. The math ain’t mathing anymore.

Gas is the absolute worse commodity to depend on. It literally fluctuates weekly and people have been complaining for 50 years about it. Why we’re dependant on such an economically volatile energy source is absolutely ridiculous.

I think it's because during Covid, every business started price gouging, blaming it on the supply chain, but because we paid those prices, the companies had no incentive to lower them.

Please understand that this isn’t a Canadian only issue. I’ve don’t a lot of time in the “cheaper” states over the past year and the prices there are honestly possibly worse. I also live in manitoba.

I’m also from Manitoba. I have a good job as a specialized nurse and I just get fucked sideways everyday by taxes, bills etc. I lose almost half my checks to taxes. Our generation isn’t going to survive and how can we even consider having kids in this economy…
