Ah yes. No empathy. But we want men to feel empathy for women when things like this happen? When Men have always had empathy for this? Like I’m not shaming anyone but years before “Dad Bods” existed there was actually a point in history where men would overfeed a woman they were with because they believed that being overweight was healthy and a good beauty standard but when they found out that isn’t true at all they stopped doing that. And yes there is history for men being controlling over women. How we where you say that society is romanticizing and beautifying men for what they already are, that’s women doing it. Because I didn’t see any men online doing that and if they’re were clearly that wasn’t the majority for people doing that. But if I bring out a double standard that raises women and put down men suddenly I’m wrong I’m not ok that it never happened. To clarify I love women. Women are great women are beautiful and I want equality and yes I feel bad for the tragedies that occurred for the women in beauty standards like Heroin Chick and the Kardashin era and Mia and Anna. Like genuinely those things shouldn’t have happened. But men have also socially accepted natural beauty in women for many many years but women didn’t and that’s how beauty standards are shaped. By women. Like you act like nobody cared but people actually cared. And the reason the whole self absorbed and selfish thing existed is because there were women who didn’t care about anything or anyone other than their appearance. It’s been a crisis and epidemic since women started doing this. Men have always been concerned but women are always “my body my choice” even before the reason it was used today. Like historically if a man cared about a woman doing something for their looks and they tried telling that woman they’re beautiful and don’t need to do that to themselves they still will. Then we act like Men never did that and never cared. I’m sorry this is so long it’s just, to me, in my opinion, as someone who doesn’t do the beauty standards stuff and “looksmaxing” I don’t see what the issue is I don’t see a mental health crisis and I haven’t seen anyone cry it’s such. I don’t think it is but
