In the south we get palmetto bugs they come from the drains and cracks it’s the small roaches that’s the problem

A lot of the times bugs get in through the sink and shower drain so maybe buy a cover to put on the drain holes when you leave out of town

yep. if you're gone long enough and the AC is going it can dry out the P trap just enough for bugs to invade through the drains
