@arran alexander: We live in one of the richest countries in the world, yet so many Australians struggle beneath the poverty line. Australia is home to hundreds of billionaires, while countless people face hardship every single day. This is a country overflowing with minerals, gas, and oil—resources that should belong to every Australian. We should all be receiving royalties from the wealth beneath our feet. We are so self-sufficient, so rich in natural abundance, that we shouldn’t need to rely on trade to survive. The only thing holding us back is the government.
Have we ever truly asked the people what they want? Because if you listen, they tell you clearly. They want to be paid what they deserve. They want to spend time with their families. They want to enjoy life—not live as slaves hoping to survive until retirement, battling illness and exhaustion. The government should protect its people, not tear families apart by taking children away unfairly. Australia began as a land of convicts, but now it feels like we have become slaves to a system that doesn’t serve us.
If you asked any Australian, they would tell you the same thing. Yet the government keeps us trapped in fear and low energy. It becomes harder for people to rise, to become their best selves. But when a government lifts its people up, when other countries see that, that is how the world changes. That is how real difference is made. That is how you inspire people not just to live, but to be happy and proud to call this country home.
Australia has everything it needs. The only thing holding us back is the leadership. Instead of thinking only of themselves, leaders should remember life is not about one person. It’s about all of us. Everything is connected. When we realize this, we see the beauty in the world. We begin to nourish the land, nourish ourselves, love ourselves, and love each other. We reconnect with the land, and in return, the land looks after us. This is the true meaning of reciprocity.
