The proposal targets so-called Glock-style switches, devices that can allow pistols to fire up to 1,200 rounds per minute. The switches are already illegal, but the proposed law would ban the sale of guns that can be easily converted using them. The ATF has recovered more than 31,000 converted guns nationally. Hartford police have seized more than 50 in Connecticut.
