I don’t understand, why does the advertising say it’s a cutting board, but you’re saying it’s not. I literally got mine to use because it states it can be used as a cutting board.

Some prep, sure, but stainless steel and glass are the two banes of your kitchen knives' edges. A well kept and cleaned wooden butcher board is still going to be the best surface for knife work, and due to inherent antimicrobial properties in the types of wood we use for those they're more hygienic than the plastic ones. Plus there's no microplastics.

for those commenting Granite is food safe it is NOT, unless it is sealed and at that point you aren't using granite but the sealer. Granite is naturally porous and will harbor bacteria.
