I’m going to try to encourage you not to react the way they ask you to. My granny and mother both got sick with cancer at 36 but my granny passed from ovarian cancer. My mama had breast cancer at the same age. Both were braca negative! I’m also braca negative but I do have fear around my future health. But I also have peace from the LORD that he will take care of me like he did my mother!

As someone who was diagnosed at 31 with breast cancer and doesn’t carry any gene for it and the reason I went in isn’t even related to my cancer, please don’t reschedule appointments. You never know when they might find something.

I was tested for the gene as well and my genetic counselor told me that only 3% of breast cancer patients actually have the gene, so while it increases risk it isn’t an end all be all
