She can sing, but it wasn’t a good performance. She sings beautifully for the calm, slow vibe songs but when she has to run around and put on a loud big show, her voice betrayed on her. I have the exact same problem. She’ll work on it and come back stronger

as someone who loves both taylor and maisie this made me so sad. like let’s be real, taylor isn’t the strongest vocalist either and she also absolutely had some less than perfect performance early in her career. but she is an amazing songwriter, her strengths make up for her weaknesses. maisie is also such an amazing songwriter and i hoped that in opening for taylor she would gain fans who valued songwriting over being a vocal powerhouse. every performer will have gigs they’re not proud of - i’m sorry people couldn’t see past that and appreciate the songwriting.
