i used to teach in a bilingual kindergarten in tokyo and reading the parents' comments saying that the kids are doing stuff by themselves at home always brings us so much joy and pride 🥹 he's doing amazing! ❤️

the most grateful thing in my life was to have my two kids in Japanese daycare and yochien. they learned so much and created so many great memories and friendships. my only regret is moving before my youngest could spend time in yochien. she would have thrived.

That’s amazing. I told second, third and fourth graders again today if they left the things outside they’d stay there because I was their mother. Last fall we’d bring in 30-50 hoodies, coats, hats and gloves. Until we stopped and the kids had to go find them.

I loved teaching at a bilingual preschool - I focused on stories so they learned how to tell their own. It was pretty magical.
