Why does the school system not work in your opinion? It’s quite a leap to think a parent has a) Teaching credential b) Total commitment for the next 15 yrs c) understanding of syllabuses that trained professionals have created

My daughter struggled understanding her school maths. The method the school used to add up. Helping my daughter with her homework I mentioned a different method. A method I use. My daughter understood my method, applied it on paper and the school said that she couldn't use a different method than she was tourte at school. To complex for the school to use various methods regardless of the individuals preferences. I am a driving instructor and I realise so so much how everyone is so individual having their own individual methods of understanding different from my next client. Emotions also have a huge impact on progress to learn. something schools are less likely to recognise or have time for. Good on you Simon. Keep up your inspirational methods and ideas. Great inspiring content that you post 🙂.

Firstly …Great Hair and same as my youngest who, coincidentally has same opinion of school (Ireland) which is so backward and he thinks irrelevant for his interests in computers and Ai yet school although using interactive screens for youtube etc but banned all student devices, laptops phones etc .. the very things they will use in college, employment and in the real world.

I have just taken my son out of school to home educate him after being bullied for 2 years and he’s 12 / year 8. I run my own construction business, so will be bringing him along to learn that side but have u got any advice for what he can do when I’m not busy working, so when we’re at home ? Iv brought your book for him to read and schooling books 📚 I want him to find something he enjoys and can put all he’s energy into

I’ve just put my child into school after trying to home-educate. I always wanted to but I found the lack of other famalies/adults (which I feel like I needed all day ever day!) and the alternative provision I couldn’t afford. I just got so over stimulated so it was a bit of an identity crisis accepting we are trying school ❤️🩹

Home educated children get 2-3 years additional time with the parents and chosen peers…that’s the amount of time in years if you stayed up 24/7. a lot more time to bond and that time is the most precious commodity we have as families.

I think home educating is about being together and actually getting to know your child and them you. Focusing on life skillls mixed with things that interest them. So pleased for anyone home educating their children- how lucky you all are ✨

The school system is not broken, it's just not what we think it is. it is just a way to control us and keep us small, train us to listen and do what they told us to do for when we become older. I wish I could have seen this years before I left my kids going through the system...by the way, I think it is great what you are doing, very interesting 🤔 Congrats 👏🏻🎉

I have decided not to send my son who would be due to start September. i have worked in schools and i just couldn’t bear to put him in that system. My daughter is 13 and she is in school (her choice)

I do the same home educating my 12 year old daughter. She is more social, confident and happier than my three older children who did go to main stream school college and one now at uni.
