Update #3 (as of 3/7/26) I’m an LPN working in memory care, long term, and rehab; night shift! After much prayer and deliberation, and after a delayed start in a 2nd career as a nurse d/t brain tumor surgery in 2017, (1 career was as a GMC retiring after 20yrs in the USCG), on the 1Aug26 I will be applying to the LPN-RN Bridge program at the same college where I first attempted the RN program in 2011. I only made it to level 3 first time around due to health issues. It is only 1 yr now and it will cost less!!!! The Lord is Good!!! The main purpose for clinicals is not a new concept: “To act without knowing how you function is not good; and if you rush ahead, you will miss your goal.” Mishlei (Pro) 19 : 2 CJB https://bible.com/bible/1275/pro.19.2.CJB PSA: it takes 2 kinds of patients/patience to be a nurse… one in the bed and one in the head; and that will never change! Remember… It will ALWAYS be too early to quit…! I took my ACLS, BLS INSTRUCTOR, and my next goal is to take a PALS Cert to add to my toolbox! I just turned 63 young! My dream is to be a flight nurse this side of Heaven!
