Good reminder! But sorry, I have to chime in as a grammar nerd. Arabic doesn’t really divide these into separate comparative and superlative forms the way English does. Rather, it has the elative (ism al-tafḍīl), often on the pattern afʿal, and that one form can function as either comparative or superlative depending on the construction. The comparative sense is typically expressed with the elative plus 'min', while a superlative reading can arise from context and does not always require 'al-'. 40 years of being a muslim and I have never had the Adhan explained so beautifully.. in Arabic there is a duaa that translates to: ‘May God bless you with a face that is welcomed and accepted’ meaning you’re wishing someone to be naturally liked, warmly received, and accepted by others, with a sense that this acceptance is a blessing from God. I think you fully exemplify this duaa 🌷

It 💯 literally means 'Allah is greater' and it also implies: Allah is greater (than everything), i.e. the Greatest ألله أكبر (من كل شيء) - without using the superlative form.

god is the greatest would be"الله الأعظم" and yea it dose mean allah is greater. Not just in size, but in every sense: greater in importance, greater in majesty, greater in worthiness of our attention and devotion. It means you give Allah more weight, more reverence, more "deal" than anything or anyone else.

Very true. It is i think the most mistranslated word that used extensively daily. Allah is greater. He is greater than whatever important things that we think we know of, we care, we love or we do.
