Pufferfish produce a potent neurotoxin called tetrodotoxin, which can be lethal in high doses but, in small amounts, can have psychoactive effects. The toxin actually gets the dolphins high-they love it. But the poor little fella will probably die from stress. (The otter is casting a judgmental look.) ❌The toxin can paralyze and kill a person, so avoid touching a pufferfish especially when it is puffed up! #dolphin
