Many creative entrepreneurs believe they need the perfect website, perfect packaging, perfect branding, and unlimited stock before they can even think about approaching a store. So they wait. And wait. And wait some more. But if you look at it, you will see that many brands that are already on store shelves didn’t start out perfectly polished; my brand included! We began by having the courage to start conversations with buyers and shop owners even when our products, or packaging or internal systems we'rent what they are right now. Buyers are not necessarily looking for perfection. They are looking for products that fit their store, that their customers will love, and creators who are serious about growing their business. You can refine your systems, improve your presentation, and grow your capacity along the way. You just need to be good enough. But of course none of that happens if you never take the first step and introduce your work.
