@adhdwithjennafree: 1️⃣ Setting a timer and racing against the clock 2️⃣ Being in a rush all the time 3️⃣ Trying to get as much done as possible today incase you crash tomorrow 4️⃣ Trying to get things over with 5️⃣ Not going to the bathroom when you’ve gotta go 6️⃣ Over caffeinating 7️⃣ “Taking advantage” of those times when you have lots of energy 8️⃣ Using guilt and shame to try to get yourself out of paralysis 9️⃣ Putting everyone else’s needs above your own 🔟 Not focusing on regulation work (and buying 10 notebooks and 3 expensive apps instead) These things don’t actually make your ADHD work, they make your dysregulation worse… which will make your symptoms A LOT worse. Not to fear or feel bad, this is just about awareness. We’ve often been taught a lot of these things, that we SHOULD do them. But I wouldn’t recommend it. What can we do instead?
