oh i hate tongs! for mugs i don’t do all in one anymore- i put my entire fist inside the mug, dip the outside then pour the inside once the outside is dry. It’s messier but i’ve never found a pair of tongs i like

This is why I always hold my pieces and dip by hand. Yes, it’s messy. No, I don’t want to risk losing the piece to a failing tool or damage like this from tongs.
