@rewirewithmilli: most people lost sight of the goal of trading. we start trading because we want freedom. freedom to live life on our terms. freedom to do the things we love, spend time with our family, support the people we care about, and not be tied to one location or one schedule. but somewhere along the way, many traders lose sight of that. before we know it, the charts completely consume us. we sit in front of them all day. and not just a few hours - sometimes 10, 12 even 14 hours a day. we work more than we ever would in a 9–5. no breaks. hating the weekends because the markets are closed. constantly exhausted. unable to be spontaneous because we’re always in a trade, waiting for a setup, or anxious that we might miss a move. slowly, the thing that was supposed to give us freedom becomes the thing that traps us. most traders have distanced themselves from the true purpose of trading. trading is a means to an end. you don’t live to trade. you trade to live. go enjoy your life. spend time with your family. spend time with your friends. do the things you originally started trading for. even while you’re learning and building your edge, remember that life is happening right now. don’t let the charts take away the most precious thing you have: your time. the markets will still be there tomorrow. but today - today is part of your life. so live it. #tradingjourney #tradingstrategy #howtotrade #trading #daytrading
