@emilieanne: When I was a few hours postpartum in the hospital I had multiple nurses tell me to feed every 2-3 hours and I wish someone would have mentioned feeding on demand! I obviously should have done my own research but I was so trusting of everyone at the hospital. They should have said don’t let the baby go more than 2-3 hours without eating … but that’s not the information that was given to me. I know feeding on demand might not work for everyone, but I fully believe it is the reason why I’m still able to breastfeed almost a year later! It really saved my milk supply and made my baby more content than ever.
