If this started leaking on my truck I would literally just let it leak. I would rather spend an extra $20 a year on oil then spend 10k to getting it fixed

Pull the cab haha. Nono. Pull the rad out. Pull the cam half way out. Work behind the front gear cover. Done 100’s of them over my 23 year career.

We pull the radiator and pull the cam gear off the cam and replace the timing cover, done several this way and never had one come back with a leak. All about finding a way to maximize techs time and minimize customer down time

I took some bolts out and got a small crack big enough to squirt some gasket sealer in and tighten it back up. That was 160,000 miles ago and still no leak.

Yeah but the oil pan gasket is separate, and has been damaged when the front cover was removed. So now you have the oil pan gasket to do as well.

clean with brake cleaner and fill that spot with RTV. 5 minutes tops.
