@buildwithdeeco: 2 years ago, I changed my life 👇🏼 It was never someone handing me a shortcut. It was me deciding I was done trading my life for a paycheck and choosing habits that cost nothing but paid me in freedom. I put my head down and absorbed every bit of free knowledge I could get my hands on. Youtube channels, creators I looked up to going live and free podcasts from successful entrepreneurs. Knowledge is currency when you use it to change your life. I stopped waiting for the perfect moment and started moving between nap schedules, and late-night dishes. I stopped telling myself I was stuck + took messy action. I started acting like the woman who was already building the future I wanted my family to watch. I learned to ignore my doubts. I showed up when it was awkward and I became ok with looking like a beginner. Everytime my doubt pressed into my mind I shot it down by turning to my kids and reminding myself l am a role model and I can do this for them. I treated my time like the most valuable currency 1 had. 24 hours in a day so I carved out time for this business outside of my 9-5. That looked like giving up tv at night, getting less than 8 hours of sleep and learning to habit stack (workout + read, morning coffee + bible, drive to work + podcast). I protected my peace daily. I blocked my family and anyone I didn’t want to see what I was up to. I only talked business to my wife and some friends who supported me. With that I stopped needed validation for my actions. This was my life, I didn’t owe anyone an explanation. I gave my business to God. I stopped asking Him to bless my hustle and started asking Him to lead my business.It sounds small, but it changed everything. The pressure shifted. The striving softened. The results multiplied. None of this cost money. It cost belief. It cost consistency. It cost refusing to live life on someone else’s schedule.
