@leahshomestead: Day 6 of not milking our Jersey cow and a lot of people have been asking the same question… Does she have mastitis yet? So far her udder has just been full and tight, but not hot, red, or hard—which are the things we watch closely for. Drying off a dairy cow naturally can feel nerve-wracking because you’re constantly checking to make sure everything looks normal.
