@smiles_ww2: Opening a 62-year-old lifeboat survival ration can. This emergency ration was originally stored on lifeboats aboard the British Cunard ocean liner Queen Mary in the early 1960s. Inside the can were 48 survival biscuits, designed to be high-calorie, compact, and easy to digest in case of a maritime emergency. After more than six decades sealed inside the can, the biscuits surprisingly still looked intact and even remained crunchy. But the taste… let’s just say it didn’t age very well. Imagine the flavor of old cardboard. 😅 A fascinating glimpse into survival food from another era. ⚠️ Always remember: never eat extremely old or expired food for safety reasons. #History #survivalration #lifeboatrations #vintagefood #cannedfood
