@aiconversations: 💧 A Nobel Prize-winning chemist just figured out how to pull clean drinking water from desert air — and he's about to test it in the Mojave. ✅ Omar Yaghi won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for inventing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) ✅ One gram of the material has a surface area larger than a football field ✅ Captures moisture from air as low as 20% humidity using only sunlight as energy ✅ Industrial units produce up to 1,000 liters of water per day completely off-grid ✅ Mojave Desert field tests scheduled for early 2026 Old solution: desalination — only works near an ocean, burns enormous energy. New solution: pull water from thin air, anywhere on Earth. Follow for more stories like this. #WaterFromAir #OmarYaghi #MOF #NobelPrize #CleanWater
Not viable unless for emergencies in remote locations otherwise bottled water is cheaper, but the idea will get to cost effictive stages in 10 years.

my conspiracy theorist side thinks it will get sabotaged. the higher ups never allow free water from a thin air. my normal self wishes that it needs to succeed.
