Best Before Dates - Part 2 How to tell if yogurt is bad 🤔 Generally, sealed yogurt lasts 3-4 weeks past best before date. Opened yogurt can last 5-7 days (maybe even longer - but plan for 5-7 days). Watch for these signs to tell you if yogurt had gone bad. Pay attention to how the whey, - the liquid in yogurt changes. If it’s relatively clear, it’s safe. *If liquid gets cloudy, thick or slimy - don’t eat. *If yogurt smells or is unusually lumpy - don’t eat. *If yogurt has an orange/pinkish colour on top - that’s the start of mold - don’t eat. *If yogurt has any signs of mold - don’t scoop out the mold - the whole container is unsafe.
