Jack White said nothing wrong. People purposely misunderstand and lack reading comprehension. Also, name dropping Taylor Swift makes sense because (like it or not) she is the prime example of writing about herself and her own life. It is what it is.

Regardless of his intentions, this is yet another person (a man, at that) missing the point that what she is writing about in the majority of her supposed breakup songs isn’t a narrative of her breakups but rather her experiences. The nuance of it is completely missed.

I understand what he is saying (not that he or her haters even care that she has a lot of songs not about her at all). He could have said it without name dropping a single artist though and still made his point. Name dropping her means his interview got seen when he isn’t super popular and has his own niche style. No one but his own fans would have even known he did this interview and now here he is probably going to go viral because every person who does Swift content will speak about it.

I don’t think he dissed TS but the noise wasn’t even coming from TS fans - the tabloids were the ones making it a bigger deal. I didn’t even see swifties on social media even talking about it. The tabloids do this all the time with TS try to make it like fans are mad when they don’t even really care. Jack spoke out bc every news outlet and tabloid was talking about it making it so he had to speak out to defend himself.
